Classification Maintenance Of Cabling System For Information Room

The maintenance of the integrated cabling system in the integrated information room can be roughly divided into the following four categories: daily management, daily maintenance, troubleshooting and layout rectification.

1. Daily management.

The daily management of the integrated wiring system refers to the position adjustment and label change of the integrated wiring jumper. This part of the job is simple and has little technical content. It can be said at a glance, at a glance: most of the jumper chaos stems from this, and the root of future unmaintenance often lies in this.

Strict information room in the implementation of all changes must be filled in the change form (electronic version can be used), approved by the relevant supervisor (signature, fax, email and other records that cannot be changed) before implementation. During the implementation process, remove the jumper to be replaced. Select a proper length for the jumper, attach labels on both ends, and lay the jumper along the jumper manager. Insert the two ends of the jumper into the corresponding information sockets to prevent the jumper from scattering in the cabinet. After the change, please fill in the status of the change in the change book (normal, failure, etc.), and manually record the change process in the change book. After the completion of the change, the electronic version of the change letter and the change approval letter should be centrally managed, and the paper change letter should be bound on time.

2. Daily maintenance.

Daily maintenance refers to the regular maintenance and inspection of the integrated wiring system during normal operation. In general, this should be done every few months rather than waiting for maintenance when there is a problem.

Routine maintenance can do many things, including:

(1) Remove dust from the integrated cabling system inside and outside the cabinet.

(2) Check the flatness of the integrated wiring bridge, and repair it immediately if there is deformation, bracket screw falling off and other inconsistent with the installation drawings. Avoid sudden interruption of information services caused by broken or falling Bridges.

(3) Check labels on twisted pair cables, panels, distribution frames, and jumpers in the equipment room. Repair the labels that fall off, fix the labels that are not firmly attached, and replace the damaged labels.

(4) Use a performance tester on copper cable channels and unused fiber channels (because fiber channels are soft and susceptible to wear and dust). Therefore, it is not recommended to perform sampling check on a Fibre Channel in use. Otherwise, the Fibre Channel or the Fibre module of the network device may be damaged. The test methods are permanent link tests and jumper performance tests used and checked against the original records.

(5) The electronic distribution frame system should also be sampled, can manually set the fault, check the real-time alarm response time and alarm sound; Similarly, the integrated cabling management software (including software in electronic distribution frames) should also be manually inspected, including construction records and daily records since the last maintenance. Construction records shall be checked for completeness and shall not be lost or damaged.

The purpose of daily maintenance work is only one: to eliminate hidden dangers in the bud. Only in this way can we ensure that the integrated wiring system is always durable.



3, troubleshooting.

No matter how good the system is, there is also the possibility of failure, and a comprehensive troubleshooting plan needs to be developed from the start of the machine room operation. Of course, it is valuable to have a troubleshooting plan in place any time the machine room is running.

After the network management system and electronic distribution frame software alarm or receive a fault complaint, the class management personnel should immediately confirm the fault to minimize the impact of the fault on the operation of the machine room. After a fault occurs, at least the following work should be completed:

(1) Confirm the fault phenomenon, initially determine the location of the fault (accurate to the link/channel), narrow the fault to the integrated wiring range, and notify the corresponding maintenance organization/department for maintenance.

(2) Before the arrival of the agent maintenance personnel, according to the plan, spare parts are used for emergency repair of the line to ensure smooth information transmission, and then handed over to the maintenance personnel for perfect repair.

(3) Record the fault in time, including text and photos of the fault location. These records need to be kept for a long time, and regular statistical analysis is required to determine the rectification plan of the integrated wiring system.

In the troubleshooting process, the class manager's integrated wiring level is very important for troubleshooting. For the time being, the equipment room managers should be trained repeatedly on the comprehensive cabling level and troubleshooting skills, prepare necessary spare parts, and prepare necessary emergency tools and materials. This can greatly reduce the fault location time and average time without fault, and provide valuable advice for professional maintenance personnel to repair routes.

4, system rectification.

System modification refers to the addition, reduction and change of integrated wiring cables. The work at this stage is similar to the new integrated wiring project in the information room, the difficulty is high, the system rectification can not affect the normal work of the room. Therefore, it is necessary to refer to the management method of integrated wiring engineering for construction preparation and installation adjustment

(1) The integrated wiring system should fill in the change form before rectification, and attach the construction drawings for approval, and the rectification can be implemented after approval.

(2) In the rectification process, all discarded cables (including twisted pair and optical cable) and jumpers should be extracted first, and then new cables and jumpers should be added.

(3) The construction personnel should formulate a perfect construction plan in advance, complete the work in the shortest possible time, and minimize the impact on the temperature, humidity, dust and other factors in the equipment room.

(4) After the completion of construction, acceptance shall be organized immediately, and the performance of the integrated wiring system of the rectification line and adjacent lines shall be tested. Adjacent lines refer to the lines affected in the rectification process. If 24 wiring racks are taken out for rectification, all 24 wires on the wiring racks belong to adjacent lines; If you use a 4-connected front turn module frame, all 4 wires belong to adjacent lines (because when processing one line, the other lines have already shifted); If a single module is used, the single module can be removed from the front of the distribution frame and maintained. It does not affect the lines next to it), then there are no adjacent lines.

(5) After the rectification is completed, all drawings, change orders, logs, inspection reports, inspection records and related documents shall be kept in accordance with the requirements of the project during the implementation process, and photos shall be taken as the basic contents of the logs if conditions permit.
